Joseph M. Burt is the President of Pension Plan Specialists, LLC, a Third Party Administrator based in the Pacific Northwest. Joe is a frequent speaker at both industry and non-industry events where he focuses on effecting change by encouraging others to, “Think Differently!”. Joe has 27 years of experience helping clients with Defined Contribution plans, ESOP, 403(b) and Defined Benefit Plans including Cash Balance and serves as 3(16) Fiduciary for many clients. Additionally, he has earned several professional designations from industry associations including ERPA, APA, QPA and QKA.

Joe has been honored to serve as the President of the National Institute of Pension Administrators. He is also a proud member of ASPPA. In 2023 Joe was invited to join the SPARK Advisory Board and currently serves as the Chair of the Technology Task Force. He served on the Nike World Master Games Board of Directors for three years. Joe is married and lives in Vancouver, WA with his beautiful wife of 31 years and their four lovely daughters.
