Like so many others, Christopher Tipper accidentally found himself in the retirement plan compliance industry. Starting in 1990 in Tacoma, Washington he’s worked all the job descriptions in the industry - including customer support for DATAIR Employee Benefit Systems. When Christopher started Hunter Benefits Consulting Group (HBCG) in 1999, he was once again performing all the traditional roles in the compliance industry, plus working on his own custom CRM solution, Through relationships and acquisitions, Christopher and his wife Katherine, built a regional multi-location compliance firm that always had its eye on what technology was coming.

Covid prompted a substantial increase in our tech stack and cyber security situation, as well as development of a new, clean sheet of paper custom CRM. HBCG was an early user of Stax’ TA system and encouraged Stax to demo the CRM to them while still in its infancy. HBCG is continuing to use Stax’ TA and CX systems to this day, while looking to see what other AI tools can be brought into their tech stack.
